The song "A ya na mori" may become the biggest of all hits for MAD HEADS XL. At least, where the radio is concerned: the song started in National Airplay Chart 2 weeks ago right at the position 3, and last week it already was #2. Meanwhile, the previous single "Naykrascha Myt" still can be heard on Ukrainian stations quite often, though it recently left airplay top 40 resulting in 13 weeks and #7 highest position.

MAD HEADS XL PERFOMANCE WAS BANNED ON TV IN DONETSK. On 7 July Donetsk region finnished the celebretion of it's 75th anniversary with a big concert on a central square of Donetsk. The show was dominated by Russian performers, there were a few ukrainian singers as well, but only those who sing in Russian language. So it was somewhat strange to see MAD HEADS XL among the others, but when the band sang their songs in Ukrainian the people on the square definitely were not upset. Donetsk inhabitants were glad to greet the musicians and were singing along the words of "Nadiya yea" song, then they meet the powerfull version of the folk song "Dubky" with the cheerful ovation. Meanwhile, local TV channel "Ukraina" was broadcasting the concert with a short delay in time, and perfomance of MAD HEADS XL mysteriously disappeared from the TV version. It looks like the local authorities have a hard case of ukrainophobia hysteria. We already met such attitude before. For instance, we've been hinted that we might be invited to perform on town's celebrations if we prepare the set of songs... in Russian language. The band is very sorry of such state of things, we have a lot of fans in Donbass and we would like to come and play concerts for them much more often.
Our perfomance at TAVRIA GAMES festival is moved from 30 to 29 June. MAD HEADS XL will appeare on stage around 18-00. You can also see our show live on air of M1 TV channel. Meanwhile, on 30 June we will play another show in Kiev, on Kontraktova square.
Since 24 June the long awaited summer song "A YA NA MORI" is available to listen and demand on the most of Ukrainian radio stations. The video for this song is also ready, we will additionally announce when it goes to the TV. The song "A YA NA MORI" is the second single for the forthcoming new album of MAD HEADS XL, planned to be released in Autumn. There are 4 versions of the song prepared for the broadcast. 3 of them have minor differences and are pretty much alike to the live version that you could here at our concerts. The fourth one is very different, it's a disco remix for dance music lovers, produced by Victor Strannik.

Meanwhile, the song "Naykrascha myt" brings MAD HEADS XL to the new level of radio airplay. It's entered Top 40 of National airplay chart 6 weeks ago and last week the song got to position 10 ("Nadiya yea" highest position was 13). The song is also number 7 among Ukrainian performers and number 5 in the rock chart. National airplay chart is based on the playlists of Ukrainian radio stations and shows the frequency of songs appearance on air.
The success is not a cause to relax, we already prepeare something new for your ears and eyes. On 17 May we shooted the new music video for the song "A Ya Na Mori". This one fits very well with today's weather, it goes about summer heat in the big city and about more pleasant places on earth you would want to be - seaside! The video for the song is going to be quite unusual, where live characters performed by MAD HEADS XL musicians will inhabit sceneries made of plasticine, paper, metal, seafood etc. All that With a help of computer graphics and animation. This project is taken care of by JAZZ-production studio. In a few weeks the new song will appear on TV, radio and on our website.
